Lukács Thermal Bath Budapest
Thermal springs do not usually abound in large towns, but Budapest is unique in this regard as here visitors can choose from a wide range of local spas, located right in the centre of the capital - which is why it’s also called the city of spas. In addition to nice bathing facilities and drinking cures, a wide range of medical treatments and wellness services are also available.
The Lukács Thermal Bath has a rich historical background: monastery baths were built in this area as early as the 12th century, the first spa hotel was built in the 1880’s, a drinking cure hall was added in 1937, and a daytime hospital was established in 1979. At the end of the 20th century, the thermal bath was thoroughly renovated and all facilities were modernised.
